Rhizome Summit Brand Identity

Brief

Rhizome is a hypothetical event - or may it just hasn't come to fruition yet. Playing off of the growing trend of "unconferences", the idea of Rhizome is to develop ways to harness the genius of your local community to develop ways to better facilitate that genius in the global, digital world. Accompanying this logo is the logo for the Open Information Organiztion which would organize the event.

The Umuse Project

Brief

Umuse is similar to the concept of Rhizome, except that it is designed to tackle a very specific problem: the lack of interoperability among so many web services - especially the popular "social networking sites". The visual identity of such an organization was meant to hint at the trendy "web 2.0" aesthetic while conversely favoring serifed fonts and even the use of victorian patterns as a way to bring a more timeless and human feel to the venture.
